➡️ Cosmic Girls 🚀 🧑🏽🚀
Cosmic Girls is a nonprofit empowering girls aged 14–19 to pursue careers in space and STEM. Through global competitions, training in science, life skills, and astronaut prep, they inspire the next generation. One finalist wins a suborbital spaceflight, showing that space is within reach for everyone.
April 12 is celebrated as the International Day of Human Space Flight, commemorating Yuri Gagarin’s historic first human space flight in 1961. After Gagarin, the American Mercury 7 astronauts became iconic figures defining what an astronaut should be—an image that excluded women for over 60 years. That’s why we’re updating the Mercury 7 to the Cosmic 6!
The aerospace industry urgently needs more technical talent. The Cosmic Girls Foundation equips teenage girls with rigorous training, preparing them to lead the new space economy. Through STEAM education and skills development, we nurture future astronauts, astrophysicists, and aerospace engineers, ensuring they can, too, lead humanity into the cosmos.
Campaign Initiatives
Cosmic Girls Foundation and supporters are raising funds in this campaign to support:
Creation and production of an inspiring introductory “teaser” video for Cosmic Girls Foundation, inspiring more young girls to pursue space and STEM careers. The video’s broad reach will amplify our mission, driving further support and engagement by attracting new girls and our donor community.
We partner with local and global nonprofits to organize low-cost webinars and space workshops for Cosmic Girls. Our goal is to make STEM fun, engaging, and accessible, inspiring more girls—especially those from resilient communities—to explore careers in space and STEM. By offering free webinars and workshops worldwide, we aim to lower the barriers to participation in our programs and our 6 Girls, 6 Continents competition, ensuring we can support girls with different levels of ambition and commitment.
By donating, you are also furthering our grand mission goals to offer:
- Astronaut Training for the 6 Finalists
- Providing professional astronaut training for six young finalists. These aspiring astronauts will gain hands-on experience and skills to prepare them for the chance that they will win a suborbital spaceflight
- Suborbital Flight for the Winner & Coach
- One lucky winner, along with her trainer and coach, will receive a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience suborbital spaceflight.
